Fueled by contagious energy and a deep pride in their roots, the group ABOiTEAU brings Acadia to life, both locally and internationally. Their musical universe, a fusion of folk, traditional, Celtic, and rock influences, draws inspiration from local figures and legends to create a unifying, festive, and historically rich show. In 2023, the group distinguished themselves at FrancoFête en Acadie, winning three awards, including the prestigious RADARTS tour with 14 shows. This recognition propelled them onto several major stages, notably in France, where they won the Marc-Chouinard Acadie–France Award and were invited to perform at the Pause Guitare Festival in the summer of 2024.
Their show, "C’est l’histoire de…" (This is the story of…), has already been presented more than 75 times in Acadia and France, captivating audiences with its blend of music, anecdotes, and stories inspired by Acadian heritage. The group has also enjoyed immense success with young audiences, with a school tour in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island totaling 33 performances for over 20,000 students.
The adventure continues on the international stage: in the summer of 2025, the group embarked on another tour in France, including notable appearances at the prestigious Interceltic Festival of Lorient and the Acadian Week.
Most recently, the group presented a showcase in Quebec City as part of the 5@7 OFF Rideau event at Murphy's Pub. Their journey continues to brighten this year with a showcase at the ECMA event and another in England at the Gate to Southwell Festival. Blending revisited traditions with rock energy, the group offers a vibrant show that celebrates Acadia and gets generations dancing.
